A groundbreaking face transplant gave a suicide attempt survivor a second chance at life.
Katie Stubblefield, 21, is the youngest face transplant recipient ever in the United States.
According to CNN, Stubblefield attempted to commit suicide with a gun at 18 and was left with serious injuries.
Now, she's using her own story of survival to raise awareness in the cover story of the September issue of National Geographic.
