Two arrested in Corinth drug raid

CORINTH (WGME) – The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says two people have been arrested after a drug bust in Corinth Wednesday.

Police say 46-year-old Shawn Bowman of Corinth and 30-year-old Angel Lugo of Bethlehem, CT were arrested after a search warrant was executed at Bowman’s home on Ledge Hill Road.

Officials say agents purchased drugs from Bowman on at least two occasions.

The MDEA says they seized 28 grams of crack cocaine, four grams of heroin, a loaded 12-gauge shotgun, a loaded Glock 9 mm pistol and $8,000 in what is believed to be drug proceeds.

Bowman is charged with two counts of unlawful trafficking in crack cocaine, one count of aggravated trafficking in crack cocaine and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (felon).

Lugo is charged with aggravated trafficking in crack cocaine.

Both are being held at the Penobscot County Jail.
