Suspect in Caribou shooting arrested in Pennsylvania after giving false name to police

CARIBOU (WGME) -- A man wanted for attempted murder after a shooting almost a month ago in Caribou has been found and arrested in Pennsylvania.

On Jan. 11, police said Adrian Covington, 40, was a suspect in an early morning shooting on River Road, sending a man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Caribou Police asked the public for help in finding Covington, and on Sunday morning they said he was in custody.

Police said Covington was found by Lansford and Allentown Police Sunday morning.

Covington gave police a false name, but local police confirmed the name was fake, tracked him down and was arrested for proving a false name

Covington will be extradited to Maine, police said.
