Storm causes numerous crashes, slide-offs

STATEWIDE (WGME) -- There are numerous reports of slide-offs and crashes across Maine and New Hampshire.

The speed limit has been lowered to 45 mph for the entire length of the Maine Turnpike.

Speeds have also been reduced to 45 mph on the highways in New Hampshire.

Tuesday’s storm is bringing snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain, which is creating slippery travel conditions.

Crews are currently on scene of a crash on the Falmouth Spur.

They are also responding to a crash between Exit 7 in York and Exit 19 in Wells northbound on I-95.

South Berwick Police are on scene of a three-vehicle crash on Rt. 236 in the area of the Eliot town line. Police say traffic is at a standstill.
