Some Maine students were expected to take part in the national walkout Wednesday morning, but those plans are changing due to the storm.

Schools that are closed Wednesday have said they will either move the walkout to Thursday or work with students to come up with an alternative plan.

The national walkout starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday and will last 17 minutes to represent the victims of last month's deadly school shooting in Florida.
