(STATEWIDE) WGME -- It may be feeling like summer, but winter is just around the corner and experts say this is a great time to weatherize your home.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, consumers can save up to 30% on their energy bills by making efficiency upgrades.

Exerts say that should start with a home energy audit, which helps you pinpoint where your house is losing energy and what you can do to save money.

Then start weatherizing: that can include air sealing, improving ventilation and adding insulation.
