Rockland man pleads not guilty to four counts of murder
MASSACHUSETTS (WGME) — Orion Krause, 23, of Rockport, was arraigned in a Massachusetts courtroom today and pleaded not guilty to four counts of murder.
Orion is accused of killing his mother, grandparents and their caretaker with a baseball bat in September of last year. At the time, a neighbor reported Krause coming to his back door naked, covered in mud and saying he had killed four people.
Attorneys described some elements of the murder scene, including that Krause dragged his mother’s body into a flower bed as evidenced by trail of blood.
Krause has been ordered held without bail, and his next court date is set for May 8 at Lowell District Court.
Investigators have yet to identify a motive for the murders.
Krause’s family attended the arraignment, but neither they nor his lawyer offered to comment on the proceedings.
