Powerful nor'easter slams the Midcoast
BRUNSWICK (WGME) – The Midcoast was slammed by a powerful nor’easter Tuesday.
On one hand you have those who are seeking comfort behind snow plows, but others say they're out to explore the snowy streets Tuesday night.
The snowplows were certainly doing their fair share as the snow piled up on Route 1.
Dispatchers in Brunswick say there haven't been any significant incidents on the roadways only a few slide offs.
Even with the snow piling up, some businesses stayed open through the storm.
Snow or shine, you'll find customers inside, under The Big Top.
Tuesday was all about the comfort food at the Main Street staple in Brunswick.
Owner Tony Sachs says even on snow days, he tries to open for business.
“We figure we've been here a long time, people are out, plow guys, businesses may be closed, you see people driving by on Main Street, so open sign, people come in, we try to be here,” Sachs said.
Still, customers are ready to see something a little different on the weather menu.
