Police identify people involved in Buxton shooting

    BUXTON (WGME) – State Police have identified the people involved in Sunday’s shooting in Buxton.

    The shooting happened along Old Orchard Road in Buxton very early Sunday morning.

    Police have identified both the shooter and the victim, but have not elaborated on how or if the two know each other.

    According to state police 19-year-old Brandon Lasante of Buxton shot 28-year-old Lincoln Kimball of Hollis. Kimball was rushed to Maine Medical Center and remains in critical condition there.

    Police closed a part of Old Orchard Road for eight hours while they investigated. Neighbors say police were back Monday looking for evidence.

    No arrests have been made in this case as police continue to investigate.
