People, pets escape fire at Fryeburg home

FRYEBURG (WGME) -- Residents of a Main Street home in Fryeburg escaped a fire early Sunday morning along with their pets, but the home was destroyed.

Firefighters from several communities responded to 1095 Main St. in Fryeburg, reporting a home fully involved in flames.

CBS 13's Alexa Maslowski reports firefighters needed five hours to knock down the flames, mostly due to frigid temperatures.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they said the temperature was 29 degrees below zero.
