VASSALBORO (WGME) – Two people have died after police opened fire on a truck in Vassalboro Friday..

State police say it started with an armed robbery, and escalated when they encountered the truck.

State police say Kadhar Bailey, 25, of Gardiner was killed in an officer involved shooting on Arnold Road in Vassalboro.

The Maine Attorney General's office confirmed Ambrosia Fagre, 18 of Oakland died Saturday at Maine Medical Center.

State police say they arrived at the scene at around 4 Friday afternoon after reports of a burglary.

Police say Bailey intentionally drove his car into a state cruiser.

That is when officers shot and killed Bailey and shot Fagre, who would die the next day.

Police say three officers were directly involved with the shooting, and none were hurt.

Police say they will be staying on scene as they continue their investigation.
