HAMPTON, NH (WGME) -- A dog groomer in Hampton, New Hampshire, has been charged in connection to the death of a golden retriever.
Police say Beth Bessemer left the dog in a crate with a heated dryer blowing on him and a noose around his neck, which caused his death on June 21.
Bessemer turned herself into police on Wednesday. She was charged with two counts of cruelty of animals.
She is out on bail and is prohibited from contact with any other person’s pets.
Bessemer is scheduled to be arraigned on October 30.
