Motorcyclist dies in Cumberland County crash

BALDWIN (WGME) – The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says one person is dead after a three-vehicle crash near the Baldwin-Standish town line Monday.

Officers say a motorcyclist on Route 113 was following too closely behind a car slowing down to make a left turn.

The motorcycle struck the back corner of the car, sending the rider into the path of a truck heading the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist died in the crash. Names are not being released until family can be notified.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says the crash is still under investigation.
