Man accused of stabbing mother to death in NH
CANTERBURY, NH (WGME) -- Police say a New Hampshire man, who was a person of interest in his mother’s disappearance, has now been charged with her murder.
Police arrested and charged 21-year-old Phillip Nash on Thursday with knowing second-degree murder for causing the death of his mother, 51-year-old Frances Nash.
Frances was reported missing on May 19. Her body was found on May 21 in Canterbury, New Hampshire.
The Chief Medical Examiner determined Frances died as a result of multiple stab wounds and ruled her death a homicide.
Phillip has been in police custody since May after he was arrested in Virginia for stealing his mother’s car as well as his employer’s truck.
Phillip was extradited back to New Hampshire Thursday night. He’s expected to be arraigned at 1 p.m. Friday.
