Make-A-Wish Maine donates 'rock star she shed' to 7-year-old Westbrook girl
WESTBROOK (WGME) -- A seven-year-old Westbrook girl battling a respiratory disorder had her wish come true Thursday.
Family and friends of Stella Axelsen joined Make-A-Wish Maine to celebrate her new backyard getaway.
Axelsen's wish was to have her own rock star "she shed."
It’s a project that she designed herself.
Make-A-Wish partnered with service experts to complete the project within eight weeks.
Axelsen's parents picked her up in a limo from school before bringing her home for the final reveal.
"When I saw the inside of it, I was like screaming, I felt like I wanted to scream, because I am getting a she shed and it is so cute," Axelsen said.
Her rock star-themed "she shed" will have a candy machine, karaoke and friendship bracelet supplies.
But most importantly, it will give Axelsen a space to just get away.
