Maine military members get free coffee, donuts during Veterans Day Drive-Thru Celebration
On Friday, CBS13 and Fox23 recognized those who are serving in the military and who have served with a special event.
For our second annual Veterans Day Drive-Thru Celebration, we teamed up with Eighty 8 Donuts to offer free coffee and hot and fresh donuts to our military veterans.
"We all share the same stories. Regardless of where we were stationed or where our training was. Regardless of what war era, we can all appreciate that we went through some tough times. There is really a camaraderie when we can connect with a small percentage of the population that's experienced the same things,” Jason Hall, with American Legion, said.
Besides, coffee, donuts, and lots of “thank yous,” veterans also received a gift bag that included a special to-go insulated coffee mug.
The Veterans Day Drive-Thru Celebration is sponsored by Eighty 8 Donuts, US Cellular and American Legion, Department of Maine.
