SOUTH PORTLAND (WGME) -- The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says a South Portland man was arrested Wednesday for selling cocaine throughout Greater Portland.
Agents charged 25-year-old Khang Tran with three counts of trafficking cocaine after he was arrested following a traffic stop in South Portland. Agents say Tran, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested without incident.
Agents say they seized 16 grams of cocaine powder and $3,560 in suspected drug proceeds from Tran after the stop.
After Tran’s arrest, agents say they searched Tran’s apartment at 278 Lincoln Street in South Portland and found 1 1/2 pounds of cocaine powder, and three loaded handguns, two of which were reported stolen from Portland and Scarborough.
The street value of the cocaine is $50,000, according to agents.
Tran is being held at the Cumberland County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
