    MONSON (WGME) – An exciting new vision for a tiny Maine town is coming to life in the Moosehead Lakes region this summer.

    The town of Monson is being restored and an artists’ community is being created, thanks to the “Libra Foundation."

    For the first time, a group of artists and writers is in residence in the town, working on their projects and helping to create a thriving community.

    Coming up Tuesday on Good Day Maine, more on what is happening in Monson, and how the Libra Foundation hopes it can become a model for other Maine towns facing economic hardship.
