Lewiston man arrested after early-morning shooting

Police say 26-year-old Jordan Waterman of Lewiston has been charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault, Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, Reckless Conduct and Violation of Conditions of Release. (Androscoggin County Jail)

LEWISTON (WGME) – Lewiston police say that a man has been arrested following a shooting in Lewiston early Saturday morning.

Police say the shooting was the result of a fight between two men at the corner of Bartlett St. and Pine St. around 4:14 a.m. A 26-year-old man was shot in the leg, but the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Officials say the two men know each other, and this shooting stemmed from an earlier argument. This is not related to the fight at Kennedy Park earlier in the week.

Police say 26-year-old Jordan Waterman of Lewiston has been charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault, Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, Reckless Conduct and Violation of Conditions of Release.

Waterman was brought to Androscoggin County Jail.
