Juvenile charged in two dead in New Hampshire shooting

    ALTON (WGME) – The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office says a juvenile has been taken into custody after a deadly shooting in Alton.

    Officials say they received a 911 call reporting a shooting at 76 Dobbins Way in Alton at 7:30 Friday morning.

    The attorney general’s office says 50-year-old Lizette Eckert suffered a gunshot wound and was found dead. An autopsy Saturday found the cause of death was a gunshot wound to her head.

    James Eckert was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead late Friday. His autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

    Officials say a juvenile was taken into custody around 9:30 a.m.

    The juvenile has been charged under the juvenile laws with one count of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
