EXETER (WGME) – Crews are trying to figure out what happened at a New Hampshire hospital, forcing an evacuation.

Staff members got sick, lying on hospital beds on the lawn.

Friday night, the hospital gave new details about their investigation.

Hazmat crews were unable to find a source for what sickened 19 staff members at Exeter Hospital, but all of those affected were cleared to go home after being treated at other hospitals in the Seacoast area.

Shortly after 11 Friday morning, hospital officials say some of the staff in the operating room wing of Exeter Hospital were becoming sick. Ten minutes later, the entire operating room was evacuated.

The hospital has been turned back over to staff. Doctors say the next step is to thoroughly clean both medical wings, with no timetable on when they'll reopen.

Doctors told us they don't think any lab work done on patients will provide an answer. The hospital hopes to be fully up and running again by Monday.
