Duck hunters saved off Ferry Beach in Scarborough
SCARBOROUGH (WGME) – A group of duck hunters were saved, after their boat got caught in a wave off Ferry Beach in Scarborough.
Officials tell CBS 13 they got the call Thursday morning, for a capsized vessel.
They say the boat, with five hunters and a dog, was on the water and got hit broadside by that wave, which forced the boat into some rocks.
First responders went out, and found the boaters a short time later, all on dry land.
We're told four of the five hunters in the group had on proper gear, and all were checked out for hypothermia.
No one was taken to the hospital.
