Bangor Police make Christmas wish come true
BANGOR (WGME) -- Bangor Police say their officers are helping a woman bring a puppy, named Tessa, from Virginia to Maine just in time for Christmas.
Lt. Tim Cotton says the Waldoboro woman reached out to the department because she needed her rescue Border Collie puppy transported from Virginia to Maine.
She said she doesn’t have the ability to drive to Virginia right now and needed to get the puppy to Maine, because Tessa is her Christmas present.
“Oddly, Christmas miracles are a specialty of the Bangor Police Department's marginally famous Facebook page,” Cotton wrote in a Facebook post.
Cotton told the woman they just happen to have two officers heading to Arlington National Cemetery on the Wreaths Across America convoy.
The 14-week-old puppy will be on her way home to Maine after the officers finish with the events at Arlington National Cemetery.
“And so begins our Christmas Miracle puppy delivery business,” Cotton wrote in a Facebook post.
