Central Maine women sewing face masks to help fight coronavirus

June Cauldwell sewing face masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at her Mount Vernon home (WGME).

Cauldwell shows how she puts together masks for hospital workers. The masks have three layers of fabric, and are evolving to include a pocket that can hold a carbon or HEPA filter (WGME).

{p}June Cauldwell has been sewing since the seventh grade. She makes dresses, costumes and quilts from her Mount Vernon home, and as of this week, face masks to protect medical workers from COVID-19 (WGME).{/p}
