Ebola outbreak is cause for international concern
NATION WIDE (WGME) -- The World Health Organization is now calling the Ebola outbreak a public health emergency of international concern.
New numbers say the outbreak has killed 961 people and made hundreds sicker.
Health experts say this is the largest and longest Ebola outbreak in history.
Two American aid workers who contracted Ebola while in West Africa recently stopped at the Bangor International Airport.
Their planes stopped to re-fuel on their way to Atlanta.
Bangor Daily News Health Editor, Jackie Farwell, wrote about possible health concerns associated with that stop.
Farwell says: Neither of the patients disembarked from the plane, remained on board, precautions for those on the plane were taken, basically no risk for surrounding community
