Coastal Humane Society competes in adoption challenge
BRUNSWICK (WGME) -- A local animal shelter is in its final push to win $100,000.
The Coastal Humane Society is one of 50 shelters competing in the Rachael Ray – ASPCA Challenge. The purpose is to save more lives by adopting out the most animals.
The Brunswick shelter says it had good numbers in June and July but in early August, a case of ringworm shut them down. The quarantine is now lifted, but the closure did set them back.
To get back on track, they're hosting 4 days of "$50 adoptions."
