Rumford severe weather repairs could be costly
RUMFORD (WGME) -- Two weeks after flash flooding washed away roads in Rumford, road crews are making steady progress, but town officials say there is weeks of work left ahead.
Hall Hill Road was one of the hardest-hit roads during the storm nearly two weeks ago. On Monday, it was passable with ditches and holes filled in.
Town Manager John Madigan couldn't go on camera Monday, but he tells CBS 13 over the phone that it will be a long time before the town is able to put a price tag on all of the repairs. Madigan says the repairs will significantly impact the town's budget.
