Drug agents make 10th meth lab bust this year
CARIBOU (WGME) -- Drug agents raided a northern Maine meth lab Friday night, the 10th time agents have responded to a meth lab-related incident this year.
Based on a tip from state police, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency's Clandestine Drug Laboratory Enforcement team raided a Caribou meth lab.
Agents arrested 47-year-old Keith Tingley, Jr. and charged him with felony trafficking of methamphetamine.
State police discovered the lab during an unrelated search of the mobile home.
Tingley posted $20,000 bail Saturday morning and was released from the Aroostook County Jail.
Maine had a record 20 meth lab busts in 2013, and the state is now halfway toward that total less than four months into 2014.
