Three arrested on sex trafficking charges in Gorham
GORHAM (WGME) -- The Cumberland County District Attorney says three people were arrested on sex trafficking charges in Gorham. Authorities made the arrests at 19 Woodland Road.
Police arrested 27-year-old Klein Fernandez, 34-year-old Tamika Dias and 31-year-old Jeremy Seeley on Monday. Dias and Fernandez are being held on $25,000 cash bail. Seeley is out on bail. They all face sex trafficking charges.
The District Attorney says the three exploited a 19 year old girl, forcing her to have sex for money. Authorities say the girl was taken 3 different Maine counties to have sex with strangers for money.
The DA says the girl managed to get away from Dias, Fernandez, and Seely after being told she might be sold to a pimp in Boston. The three are due in court Wednesday.
