AG says agent justified for shots fired during border chase
FRANKLIN COUNTY (WGME) -- Maine Attorney General Janet Mills ruled a border patrol agent was justified for shooting at two Canadian teenagers in a high speed chase.
Agent Christopher Talbert was one of many law enforcement officers who were trying to catch the 13 year old and 16 year old. The pair stole three vehicles and got around several barriers before being caught.
The AGs report says Talbert fired six times with a handgun when the teens threatened to run him over.
