Maine skiers celebrate fresh powder on the slopes
BRIDGTON (WGME) -- Wednesday's snow made driving difficult, but it made for near-perfect conditions for Maine skiers.
Shawnee Peak in Bridgton was packed with night skiers enjoying several inches of powdery snow on the slopes.
"It feels like you're floating through air. It's pretty amazing, actually," said Nathan Hankla, of Portland. "On a snowboard, there's nothing like it."
Skiers who spoke to CBS 13 say these are the best skiing conditions since December, and there was no way they'd miss it.
"You never know it could be the only day this year, the way it's going," said Tom Ambrose, of Saco.
Shawnee Peak offers nigh skiing every night of the week except Sundays.
