Brunswick residents weigh in on new elementary school plan
BRUNSWICK (WGME) -- Brunswick residents got a chance to weigh in Wednesday night on a proposed plan for a new elementary school.
The new school would be built on the site of the old Jordan Acres Elementary School.
The school on Jordan Avenue is still standing, but it has been empty since 2011 when it was badly damaged by snow on the roof.
The fact that Jordan Acres is closed has led to slight overcrowding issues at the other elementary schools in town.
The price tag of a new school is around $24 million.
