Two major figures join First Lady at SOTU
OGUNQUIT (WGME) -- Two major figures from the Boston Marathon bombings joined the First Lady as special guests at the President's State of the Union address on Tuesday.
Jeff Bauman, who was seriously hurt in the attacks, sat next to Carlos Arredondo, the man who sprung into action and helped save Bauman's life back in April.
One of Arredondo's friends, who also helped victims at the bombing scene, watched the speech from his home in Ogunquit.
John Mixon knows Arredondo through Maine's Run for the Fallen, which Mixon started.
Mixon tells CBS 13's Lexie O'Connor, since those bombs went off at the finish line, the two of them have had a lot of opportunities.
Mixon says when when Arredondo got the invitation to be one of Michelle Obama's guests, he called his friend and was thrilled.
