STATEWIDE (WGME) – CMP made more progress on power outages overnight, but still hundreds of thousands of people remain without power.

People are waking up Wednesday for the third morning without power, but CMP continues to make progress.

More than 211,000 customers are currently in the dark.

Power is coming back on slowly in all communities, but York County has seen significant progress.

Crews from Maine and beyond are working around the clock.

CMP is approaching the halfway point from its peak outages of 404,000 on Monday.

The director of MEMA calls the damage worse than the Ice Storm of 1998.

They're hoping everyone has power back by Saturday night.
