Patriots look to defeat the Titans
FOXBORO (WGME) -- The Patriots are coming in with a 13-and-3 record and the Titans are coming off a comeback win against the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend.
The Patriots have beaten the Titans six straight times.
The last time the Patriots & Titans met in the AFC playoffs was January 10, 2004.
It was the coldest playoff game in team history with a game time temperature of 4 degrees and a wind chill of minus 10.
Fortunately, weather won't be an issue this time around, but the Titans could be.
"This is the best football team that we will have faced all season long. They're playing well. They've really won two playoff games when you think about the situation they've been in,” Matthew Slater said.
The Patriots maybe 3 wins away from a sixth Super Bowl championship, but before the Pats can pack for Minnesota they must first take care of business in Foxboro.
“We expect to get everyone's best every week and we'll certainly get everyone’s best in the playoffs. Nothing to save it for. It’s a one game season whatever you've got at this point, player, coach, scheme, there's nothing to save it for,” Bill Belichick said.
"I just think it’s the reality of the playoffs is everyday could be your last practice so,” Devin McCourty said.
