FOXBOROUGH, MA (WGME) -- The Kansas City Chiefs knocked off the defending Super Bowl champs 42 to 27 last night in Foxborough.

The chiefs Alex Smith threw a pair of long touchdown passes, ending the night 28 of 35 passing for 368 yards and four touchdowns.

Tom Brady struggled in the second half. He didn't throw a single touchdown pass, finishing 16 for 36 for 267 yards.

A special ceremony for Patriots Nation was held before the game as they unveiled the NFL championship banner.
