Woman charged in connection to Rumford stabbing
RUMFORD (WGME) – Rumford Police say they have made an arrest after a woman was stabbed while walking home on Cumberland Street on July 14.
The victim had to be flown to Central Maine Medical Center by LifeFlight.
Police say charged 35-year-old Tiana M. Crossley, with elevated aggravated assault with a weapon this week.
“This has been a difficult investigation as people are afraid to come forward with what they witnessed and/or videotaped,” Detective George Cayer said.
She was taken to the Oxford County Jail when she is being held on $100,000 surety bail or $50,000 cash bail.
Rumford Police expect to make additional arrests in the future after they say they learned of co-conspirators who helped Crossley destroy evidence.
