WESTBROOK (WGME) -- A Westbrook man found himself pinned under his tractor Wednesday.

Larry says he was getting ready to use his tractor to plow snow.

He was standing next to the tractor and reached in to check the clutch, when he accidentally released the clutch.

This caused the tractor to roll backwards onto both of his legs.

“I had my two legs pinned under the front wheel,” Larry said. “I hollered ‘Help, help, please come help me!’”

The fire chief says Larry was stuck for about 30-45 minutes before they got there. It took them about 10 minutes to free him using cribbing and air bags to lift the tractor.

The fire chief says that the garage door stopped the tractor from completely running over the man, or this could have been worse.

He was evaluated at the scene, and didn't have to go to the hospital.
