PELHAM, NH (WGME) -- Two neighbors are facing charges after fighting over snow removal.

One of the men is Sam Mousa, of Pelham, New Hampshire.

He says he was plowing snow with his teenage son Wednesday night when he heard loud bangs.

He says it was his neighbor, Eric Chojnacki, armed with an axe.

“I opened the door and he's like, 'You just pushed snow onto my lawn.’ I said, 'This is why you're here, with an axe, banging on my window?’" Mousa said. "I told him, I said, 'You're not getting away with this.’ Don't come to people's doors with an axe in your hand over snow. Whether it happened or did not happen."

While his son called 911, Mousa says Chojnacki shoved him axe still in hand.

Mousa says he grabbed Chojnacki's clothes and brought him down.

Chojnacki was charged with criminal threatening and Mousa was charged with simple assault for hitting Chojnacki in the face, according to police.
