Snow, sleet and rain will make for a messy Sunday
STATEWIDE (WGME) -- It will be a messy Sunday in Maine with snow almost all day.
In southern and coastal locations, the snow should transition to rain in the afternoon and evening hours.
However, inland towns are likely to remain all snow.
Up to 6 inches in accumulation is possible for those inland areas with 1-3 inches at the coast.
Maine will make a rapid recovery on Monday with sunshine and highs near 50 degrees.
Monday starts a sunny streak that will last through Thursday.
Highs will be relatively warm this week in the mid and upper 40s. We’re normally in the mid 30s this time of the year.
