Skiers and snowboarders raise money for a good cause
SHAWNEE PEAK (WGME) – Skiers and snowboarders raced as fast as they could down Shawnee Peak Friday night, and it was all for a good cause.
The Moonlight Challenge at Shawnee Peak benefits the Maine Children's Cancer Program. Skiers and snowboarders will race in teams down the mountain. The fastest clocked average time wins, but it's really about raising money for a great cause.
Saturday is a big day at Shawnee, too. It's the resort’s 80th birthday. There's a suite of events Saturday capped off by fireworks.
