Powerful nor'easter leaves thousands of Mainers in the dark

The heavy wet snow brought down tree limbs onto power lines and that's causing power outages across the state.

Central Maine Power says about 26,000 customers are currently without power.

CMP says crews are out in full force, working on getting the power back on.

In New Hampshire, another 60,000 homes and businesses are without power.

The vast majority of those outages are in York County.

In Kittery, nearly 5,000 CMP customers are still without power, the hardest hit community by far.

CMP expects to have most of the power restored by the end of the day Thursday.
