Portland police search for missing man

UPDATE: Douglas Putnam has been found. He says he was at a friend's house and it was all a misunderstanding.

PORTLAND (WGME) --- Portland police are searching for a missing man.

32-year-old Douglas Putnam got separated from his friends Wednesday night on Walker Street near Brackett Street. Police say Putnam was intoxicated and stepped out of a vehicle when it stopped.

The driver of the vehicle says he circled around the block, but could not find Putnam. Putnam was wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and skate shoes.

Police say he was last seen at Lazzari on Congress Street just after 10:30 p.m. He lives on Stone Street, but left his keys and cell phone in the car.

Putnam is described as a white man, 5’6”, 140 lbs, with blonde hair, blue eyes and a thin beard with a moustache.
