Police seek bike riders involved in hit-and-run in Sabattus

Sabattus Police are asking for the public’s help finding two young men involved in a hit-and-run crash Thursday evening. (MGN)

SABATTUS (WGME) -- Sabattus Police are asking for the public’s help finding two young men involved in a hit-and-run crash Thursday evening.

It happened on Route 126 near Marsh Road around 6:45 p.m.

Police say the young men were riding mini bikes or mini razor type dirt bikes when one of them collided with a vehicle, causing extensive damage.

When the owner of the vehicle asked them to stay and wait for police, they refused, according to police.

Police say one mini bike has extensive damage and is not operable. The driver may also be injured.

The driver of the mini bike who hit the vehicle is described as a young male, possibly an adult, with short, light brown or blonde hair, clean shaven with a thick or stocky build.

The other mini bike driver is described as a young male, possibly an adult, with brown hair and a thin build.
