Oxford County hits snow jackpot in latest storm
BRIDGTON (WGME) -- While much of Maine saw a mix of snow and rain Wednesday into Thursday, in much of Oxford County it was an all snow event.
At last check around midnight Wednesday, Bridgton had already picked up 11 inches of snow.
The mountain town got 16 inches of snow earlier in the week and this storm is expected to bring 16 more.
Bridgton public works was out on the roads all day Wednesday working to keep the roads clear, despite very low visibility.
Not too far from downtown Bridgton, skiers and snowboarders at Shawnee Peak were thrilled with the snowfall.
Tom Clause told us, "Every single run gets better and better - it's one of the best powder days I've ever had. Absolutely awesome!"
Another man at the mountain told us he's already gone skiing four out of the last five days.
