NY man, Maine woman charged with trafficking crack, heroin
VASSALBORO (WGME) -- Maine Drug Enforcement agents arrested a New York man and a Vassalboro woman on cocaine and heroin charges Wednesday.
Drug agents say they went to Vassalboro Wednesday afternoon to arrest 33-year-old Sarah Fuschwanz, of Vassalboro, on aggravated drug trafficking charges.
Agents found Fuschwanz as she was driving away from her home with two passengers in the car.
Her car was stopped and searched by agents.
Agents say they found approximately 80 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of heroin, 10 grams of powered cocaine along with Suboxone, a prescription drug generally used in the treatment of opiate addiction, inside the car and on the occupants.
Agents also seized approximately $3,250 in cash, which is suspected to be the proceeds of illegal drug sales. The street value of the drugs seized is $10,000.
Agents charged Fuschwanz with two counts of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (crack and heroin) and two counts of violation of conditions of release.
Agents also charged 51-year-old Andre Fields, of Bronx, New York, with two counts of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (crack and heroin) and 33-year-old Tania Murphy, of Hallowell, with violations of conditions of release.
The three were taken to the Kennebec County Jail.
