New Hampshire juvenile charged with murder, attempted murder
FARMINGTON, NH (WGME) -- A juvenile was arrested Wednesday in connection to the shooting death of a man in Farmington, New Hampshire. Police say the juvenile also shot and injured a woman.
Farmington Police officers responded to a 911 call from a residence around noon.
Once there, they discovered two adults in the home with apparent gunshot wounds. Police say a man was dead and a woman was injured.
The woman was taken to a hospital and treated for her wounds. She is expected to survive, according to police.
The injured female is expected to recover from her injuries. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of her next of kin.
Police say the juvenile was arrested and charged with second-degree murder for killing the man and attempted murder for shooting the woman.
No other details will be available since the alleged perpetrator is a juvenile, according to police.
Police identified the man as 33-year-old James Laprade, of Farmington, New Hampshire.
The chief medical examiner has determined that the manner of death was homicide. The cause of Laprade’s death was a gunshot wound.
