Man accused of killing mother, seriously injuring daughter in Windham crash to face judge
PORTLAND (WGME) -- A Hiram man charged with manslaughter for a fatal crash in Windham will go before a judge for a plea hearing Friday morning.
In December of 2016, police say 29-year-old Philip Macri was driving his pickup truck under the influence when he crossed over the center line and slammed into another pickup truck head-on in Windham.
That truck was driven by 38-year-old Rebecca Perry who died in the crash. Her 15-year-old daughter suffered severe injuries.
Police say they found drugs inside Macri’s truck and toxicology results show had marijuana, cocaine and antidepressants in his system at the time of the crash.
Macri is facing a total of seven charges, including manslaughter, assault, OUI and weapons charges. He also had drug charges added in April 2017 when police say he violated his bail conditions.
