Maine community colleges freeze tuition
PORTLAND (WGME) -- As college students head back to campus, Maine's community colleges say they are freezing tuition for the coming year.
Tuition and fees at Maine’s seven community colleges are the lowest in New England, about $3,600 per year, and they're going to stay that way.
Some additional state funding is making the freeze possible.
State leaders say Maine’s community college growth is essential to growing the state's economy, and it's essential for the students and their families.
