'Four-a-Cause' to help four local charities in Portland
PORTLAND (WGME) -- Benchmark Residential and Investment Real Estate is hosting a bash at Aura in Portland on Thursday.
The event is called "Four-a-Cause," for the four local charities that will benefit, The Locker Project, Wayfinder schools, Portland Youth Dance and Special Olympics Maine.
It's free and open to the public, but attendees are asked to consider making a donation for the charities.
Benchmark owner Tom Landry says this started as a way to thank their clients at the end of the year, but grew into something more.
"We took it from something that was more insular and thanking our clients which is a wonderful thing, but, to do good and give back," Landry said.
Four-a-Cause is from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Aura on Center Street in Portland.
There will be live music featuring "Dean Ford and the Keepsakes," as well as appetizers and a full bar.
A $20 donation gets you two drink tickets and a $10 donation gets one drink ticket.
